Communications Manager
London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) - 9-day fortnight

£42k- £45k + bonus

Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with GIIA on a fantastic new Communications Manager role within their growing team. GIIA represents the world’s leading institutional investors in infrastructure and advisors to the sector. They work with governments and other key stakeholders to promote the role of private capital in delivering smart, sustainable infrastructure.

By connecting investors and advisors with policy makers and regulators, they seek to create opportunities for investment that improve economies, connect people, enable energy transition, protect the environment, and tackle the challenges of resilience to climate change and achieving net zero. Collectively, GIIA members have some $2.2 trillion in infrastructure assets under management across nearly 70 countries on six continents.

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic communications initiatives across multiple markets, amplifying the organisation’s influence and engagement with stakeholders globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling content including reports, thought leadership pieces, op-eds, press releases, and interview materials for diverse channels.
  • Oversee and edit web content and newsletters to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with branding and messaging.
  • Develop and execute social media and media campaigns targeting key markets in the UK, US, and EU, monitoring and analysing performance metrics.
  • Manage media relations by handling enquiries, preparing briefs, and developing relationships with trade, national, and international outlets.
  • Collaborate with policy and advocacy teams to align external messaging with sector priorities and upcoming activities.
  • Track media coverage, sentiment, and emerging issues to support strategic positioning and thought leadership efforts.
  • Lead special campaigns and projects, including content for events and industry engagements.
  • Maintain and improve the organisation’s website as an impactful digital showcase.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in communications, media, or PR, preferably within the membership sector.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
  • Proven experience managing social media campaigns and media outreach across multiple geographies, especially UK, US, and EU.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, confident in engaging with senior leaders, members, and media professionals.
  • Excellent project management and organisational abilities, able to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex policy, technical, and investment information into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools, analytics, and measurement practices.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 + bonus
