We are working with a London based University while they go through a major website transformation project. The Content Development Manager will play an essential part in this project, overseeing the creation of new content, the migration of existing content and quality testing new functionality and design.

This role will be responsible for managing a team of 2 Digital Content Editors, collaborate regularly with the UX Designer and ideally have a background in Higher Education or the Not for Profit space.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Play a leading role in the web transformation project, by owning the content audit across all sites
  • Work closely with the UX Designer to implement a new Information Architecture
  • Plan & produce new user-focused and brand led content
  • Utilise web analytics and user testing tools to report on success of digital content
  • Manage Digital Content Editors
  • Project manage the production of new content and the testing of any new developments, providing quality assurance

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Delivery of content projects across large websites
  • Management of a team
  • Production of written and visual content for website use, as well as briefing & overseeing the production of multimedia content
  • Take a user-focused and data-driven approach to content management
  • Understanding of website accessibility and SEO
  • Ability to manage web projects and stakeholder expectations

This role is a full-time, 18 month fixed-term contract paying £45,000-£52,000. This will be a hybrid role with some office based days and some days working from home.
