The Talent Set are excited to be partnering with a great international development charity to recruit their new Content Manager.

This role offers a hybrid work pattern, coming into their London office 2 days/week.

The Content Manager is an essential role in raising funds and awareness of the charity and our work to key target audiences. 

A key member of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, you will be responsible for delivering cross-organisational content and stories that support the charity’s fundraising and communications plan. You will gather and deliver powerful stories for multi-channel communications across the organisation, ensuring that all content gathering, and creation is undertaken in line with our brand, GDPR regulations and that safeguarding our beneficiaries is foremost in our storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Communications to develop and deliver a sustainable approach to collecting, creating, storing, and sharing stories to support across communications, including fundraising campaigns and activities, PR, publications and digital channels.
  • Work with the Head of Communications to create an annual content gathering plan, supporting overall Fundraising & Communications Engagement strategy.
  • Manage and carry out content gathering trips, sourcing compelling, on-brand stories to support fundraising and campaigns work
  • Source and brief external freelancers (e.g. editors, filmmakers) to create content to support fundraising appeals and build brand awareness
  • Develop relationships with key media and journalists, including international development and regional media were appropriate

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrable ability to capture content in live situations
  • A professional communicator with a track record of establishing and maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong and engaging copywriting skills, writing for a range of audiences and channels
  • Sourcing interviews, and interviewing members of the public and/or an organisation’s customers or beneficiaries.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of digital media
