The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering with an exciting professional membership body in their search for a new Digital Manager. This role, as the team’s digital expert, will lead website development and technical digital marketing, sharing expertise with colleagues.
Responsibilities include managing website content (primarily using Umbraco), liaising with external developers, overseeing Google Ads and paid campaigns, analyzing digital performance, and advising on social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities;
  • Website Management: Take the lead on the development of our suite of 6+ websites, rationalising where possible, improving their overall performance and ensuring that they meet the needs of the staff that operate them and the various audiences that use them (our members, our students/trainees, consumers, businesses and other stakeholders). You will also seek ways to further integrate our CRM system into our ways of working. Above all, you should be comfortable with new technology and have an appetite for learning how best to apply it to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Content Development: Produce, commission or edit a variety of written and visual content – including web pages, graphics, user-guides, e-learning materials, and other items – to keep CTSI’s websites, social media channels, and other comms vibrant, engaging and up-to-date. You will create website content and produce simple user-guides and style-guides to help people use the CMS (and maintain the look and feel).
  • Digital Marketing Production: Provide expertise across our various digital marketing channels. This will involve providing guidance on SEO and the optimisation of our social media accounts but may also include involvement in the management of our Google Ads account, affiliate marketing, online advertising and email.
  • Analytics and Evaluation: Undertake competitor analysis, customer insight work and market research. In addition, you will need to perform campaign evaluation – and use the various digital analytics tools (including Google Analytics) to monitor campaign performance and our KPIs.

The successful Digital Manager should ideally have the following skillset:
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Trello, Canva/Photoshop) and experience with CMS platforms (ideally Umbraco, or similar).
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to produce engaging content to tight deadlines; a good eye for visual design is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, UX, accessible web design, Google Ads, and email marketing; experience with Google Ad Grants is desirable.
  • Experience working in UK-wide organisations, ideally in the non-profit or membership sector.
  • Technically literate, with the ability to bridge communication between non-technical and technical teams.
  • Awareness of legal and compliance standards, especially around web accessibility.
  • Highly organised, collaborative, and confident managing multiple tasks, people, and stakeholders.
