The Talent Set are excited to be working with the National Deaf Children’s Society to find their new Email Marketing Manager.

The National Deaf Children’s Society offers flexible working, and this role is offered as both a fully remote home-based role (£29,926 – £32,672) and a hybrid option with 3 days travel to their London Offices (£34,318-£37,065).

The National Deaf Children's Society is the leading charity for deaf children and young people. Their goal is to provide support for every deaf child who needs them no matter what their level or type of deafness or how they communicate, to overcoming the social and educational barriers that hold deaf children back through ongoing support to the children and their families.

We are looking for an experienced Email Marketer to lead the development and implementation of transformational user-first email experiences for fundraising, campaigns, membership and events teams. Provide email training, support and advice to teams and set email goals in line with industry standards and regularly report on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a programme to develop transformational user-first email experiences and introduce segmentation modelling.
  • Lead the content workflow for email marketing campaigns collaboratively across teams with an eye to cross-channel user journeys.
  • Own the calendar for email marketing, ensuring best practice in times and frequency of delivery per audience.
  • Represent digital marketing in organisation-wide projects related to email. This includes adoption of marketing automation, use of bulk SMS for marketing and development of welcome series.
  • Champion email best practice via collaboration, training, coaching and support groups.

To do this the right candidate will have:

  • Experience of strategic development of email marketing to improve outcomes against key organisational objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of email marketing techniques, processes and best practice.
  • Knowledge of data regulations and how to implement them in practice.
  • Experience of evaluating the success of email marketing activity and proven ability to turn numbers into insight and use this to create improved impact against objectives.
  • Excellent written skills including the ability to formulate written reports, user guides and recommendations in plain English.
