Independent Age is looking to recruit an Individual Giving Officer to join their growing Public Fundraising team!

Independent Age is a national charity founded over 150 years ago with a clear mission to ensure that as we grow older, we all have the opportunity to live well with dignity, choice and purpose. This role would offer the chance to make a real mark in the fundraising space within a small and agile charity.

We are seeking an Individual Giving Officer who will support the growth of the individual giving programme and generate income from new and existing donors. Supporting the development, implementation and growth of a portfolio of products, as well as handling income via lottery, regular donations, newsletters, appeals and digital fundraising.

By building upon existing relationships, and attracting and converting new supporters, the successful candidate will grow income in this area, helping to create a sustainable platform for all fundraising activity while Independent Age is going though an exciting period of growth.

The ideal candidate will bring experience working on direct marketing campaigns, preferably within a fundraising environment, as well as experience analysing campaign results. They will have excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills with strong attention to detail; be a confident communicator and have the ability to build good relationships and work effectively within a team. As this role also involves briefing and working with external suppliers and agencies, experience in this area is also key.

Independent Age offer flexible working with a hybrid work approach, coming into the Central London office no more than 1 day/week.

The starting salary for this role is £28,950, increasing to £29,750 after 6 months and £30,550 after 12 months

Along with Independent Age, we are committed to diverse and inclusive recruitment practises that ensure equal opportunity for everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age or gender. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and will happily make reasonable adjustments to always ensure a fair process.
