The Talent Set are excited to be working with Asthma and Lung UK to find their new Internal Communications Manager.

We are looking for a confident and capable internal communications professional to deliver and guide effective and engaging internal communications across Asthma + Lung UK. You’ll support the design, coordination, and execution of our internal communications and employee engagement programme. Operating cross functionally to deliver key communications messages to engage and inspire colleagues. You’ll be a skilled storyteller, helping us develop our internal narrative for trustees and key stakeholders, as well as our employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and coordinate the internal communications strategy and plan for the organisation with a campaign-focused approach.
  • Partner with external comms to develop our organisational narrative and deliver that effectively into multiple channels, including internal communications, Trustee Annual reports and the Alumni network.
  • Schedule and manage all internal communications, from operational announcements to engagement stories, including liaison with all other support functions to ensure communication requirements are delivered.
  • Take the lead from our Content and Creative team, assist in the development of internal branding, developing and managing templates and structures for internal documentation and communication.
  • Lead on the management and coordination of our intranet content and community.

To do this the right candidate will have:

  • Experience in web design of corporate intranets and delivery of internal communications programmes.
  • A natural storyteller with the ability to develop a compelling and engaging narrative.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills across different channels.
  • Confident working with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to support their communication needs.
  • Resilience and able to enjoy working on, coordinating and implementing multiple projects and tasks.
