We are partnering with an amazing organisation, London Early Years Foundation to help them recruit a Strategic Projects Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

LEYF has an incredible mission with an aim to provide high quality, affordable, and accessible early years education for London’s children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. LEYF recently designed strategic initiatives to achieve ambitious growth plans, which the Strategic Projects Manager will play a huge part in. This role is designed to support the ongoing project management associated with delivery of the initiatives, as well as provide more hands-on support for specific high-priority projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work to ensure strategic initiatives within the operational plan are delivered on-time, within scope and to budget
  • Create, manage and deliver against project work plans through the active management of milestones, budgets and resources
  • Set-up and run an effective project governance
  • Work with colleagues from across the organisation to understand the interdependencies across the operational plan to allow for alignment, logical sequencing and prioritization of activity
  • Prepare accurate and timely project status reports to stakeholders
  • Facilitate monthly review with the executive team to review progress of all initiatives
  • Support with delivery of select initiatives

Key skills include:

  • Experience managing projects spanning people and organisational change
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively and constructively challenge senior leaders in the business
  • Broad experience of project management practices, tools and methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Ability to take high-level thinking, to shape and plan projects, to drive maximum value and benefit
  • A background in early education or children's charities would be beneficial.

This is a full-time, permanent role paying £42,000-£48,000. This role will be hybrid, with some working from home and some time spent in the London office.  Ideally this person would be in the office anywhere between 1-3 days/week depending on business needs.

Along with LEYF, we are committed to diverse and inclusive recruitment practices that ensure equal opportunity for everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age or gender. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and will happily make adjustments to always ensure a fair process.
