• Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides vital support to families with seriously ill children in hospital by offering free ‘home away from home’ accommodation. Recognising that the best medical care isn’t always close to home, the charity operates 14 Houses across the UK, located just moments from children’s hospital wards. These Houses offer families a warm, comfortable place to stay, rest, and prepare meals, helping to ease the emotional and financial strain during an incredibly difficult time. Their support ensures families can stay together and close to their child when they are needed most.

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has launched a new five-year Impact Strategy, marking a significant milestone in the charity’s journey. This bold and forward-looking strategy reflects a strong commitment to supporting more families and enhancing the quality of that support. As the organisation’s first formal impact strategy, it represents a pivotal moment and sets a clear direction for an ambitious future. In alignment with this vision, a new directorate has been established to unite income generation, marketing, and communications under one strategic framework. Following a comprehensive team review, a refreshed Engagement Strategy has been developed to drive growth and deepen connection with supporters. The next phase of transformation focuses on strengthening internal capacity, with a revised team structure designed to meet rising aspirations. With the full support of the Board of Trustees, several new roles are being introduced to bring fresh energy, talent, and insight into the organisation’s mission.
