The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities to recruit to this newly established Associate Director of Relationship Engagement position, a key senior role within the charity. 

Associate Director of Relationship Engagement
Salary: £80,000

Location: Flexible with hybrid working of 2dpw from a Ronald McDonald House or Office

Ronald McDonald House Charities is investing significantly in its Engagement Strategy, introducing new positions (such as this Associate Director of Relationship Engagement) to ensure they can establish further meaningful relationships with their community of supporters to expand reach and deepen impact for families that need their support. 

As Associate Director of Relationship Engagement you will lead the strategic development of high-value fundraising, establishing deep relationships with corporate partners, major donors, trusts/foundations and capital appeal supporters, alongside the incredible founding partner McDonald's. You'll also lead a growing team to oversee high-impact special events that drive income and increase charity awareness. 

As Associate Director of Relationship Engagement you will enable the charity to unlock the extraordinary value in their existing networks, while building the infrastructure for sustainable, long-term growth. It's a truly exciting opportunity - joining at a time of significant investment and senior-level buy in to diversify the high value fundraising portfolio and broaden their supporter base, all with the solid foundation and incredible support of their continued partnership with McDonald's.

We're looking to speak with experienced leaders who can demonstrate broad relationship-led fundraising skills, with particular strengths in developing major donor and/or corporate partnerships portfolios. Together, high-value income streams at Ronald McDonald House Charities could truly transform the organisation's future - there's no shortage of warm networks and engaged stakeholders - you'll lead the developing of the strategic infrastructure that allows the charity to harness this support. 

As Associate Director of Relationship Engagement you will:
  • Strategically lead the all high-value income streams, with a focus on diversification and growth. 
  • Oversee the development and delivery of tactical high-value fundraising strategies that enable support from corporate partners, major donors, trust and foundations and capital appeals. 
  • Foster a culture of new business development and account growth, maximising opportunities for support and securing transformational gifts and long term partnerships. 
  • Champion a relationship-led approach to supporter engagement - establishing tailored journeys that build loyalty, trust and long-term value. 
  • Ensure consistency with regards to stewardship - fostering a collaborative fundraising culture across the organisation. 

The role would best suit:
  • An experienced high-value fundraising professional, with expertise of securing 6-figure gifts or partnerships .
  • A strategic leader with experience of developing high-performing teams and maximising the potential of reports. 
  • An individual who is confident engaging a wide variety of senior stakeholders (including trustees, corporate partners and donors). 
  • A visionary/big picture thinker, someone who can spot significant funding opportunities and lead the team to establish compelling cases for support that appeal to high-value supporters. 
  • Experience in capital campaigns/large-scale appeals is desirable but not essential.
