Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Digital Content Officer role. This temporary position involves supporting a web transformation project by creating, editing, and migrating user-focused, SEO-optimised content for a new website, alongside managing internal communications.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Write, review, and migrate content for the new website, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • optimise web content for search engines, including metadata, headings, and internal links.
  • Build, format, and publish web pages within a content management system, ensuring accessibility and responsive design.
  • audit existing URLs, develop redirect strategies, and proofread content before publication.
  • collaborate with stakeholders to review, approve, and sign off website content, maintaining content accuracy and relevance.
  • manage project timelines, tracking content progress through designated tools, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • support testing phases by working with external web agencies to identify and resolve issues prior to launch.
  • gather user feedback through testing with students and implement practical improvements.
  • ensure all digital copy and media meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  • update the organisation’s internal SharePoint intranet with news and operational updates.
  • plan, write, and distribute the staff newsletter fortnightly, based on sourcing content from relevant internal teams.
  • liaise with internal stakeholders to gather key updates and promote internal communications.

Person Specification:
  • Proven experience in digital copywriting, content editing, and web publishing, particularly within WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and optimisation techniques.
  • Experience managing and updating intranet platforms, ideally SharePoint.
  • Skilled in developing engaging internal newsletters and editorial content for internal audiences.
  • Exceptional written English, with strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into accessible, engaging content.
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with diverse internal stakeholders.

What’s on Offer:
Salary: £138.34 per day + £21.48 daily holiday

Location: Hybrid – 2 – 3 days per week onsite
Contract: Initial 3 – 4 months
