The Talent Set are delighted to partner with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists on a fantastic Director of Membership and Communications role. This key leadership position focuses on shaping membership growth and engagement, while driving strategic communication initiatives to enhance the organisation’s profile and impact.
RCSLT’s mission is to enable better lives for people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. They promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to their members and the public about speech and language therapy.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to increase and retain membership levels across diverse audiences.
Oversee the design and delivery of compelling communication campaigns, including digital content, publications, and events.
Lead and inspire teams responsible for member services, engagement initiatives, and external communication efforts.
Foster strong relationships with members, stakeholders, and external partners to support organisational objectives.
Analyse membership data and feedback to inform future strategies and improve member experience.
Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.
Person Specification
Experience in leading membership growth and engagement within a membership organisation or similar environment.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement effective communication plans.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate teams across multiple functions.
Skilled in data analysis and leveraging insights to inform decisions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and professionalism.
What’s on Offer
Salary: £82,481 – £86,656
