We're seeking a dedicated and organised Fundraising Assistant to join a fantastic charity. You'll play a vital role in supporting the charity's fundraising efforts by managing gift processing, acknowledgments, and stewarding supporters. Your responsibilities will include handling enquiries, database tasks, financial processing, and providing administrative support to the team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure donations are accurately and promptly recorded on the charity's database. 
  • Maintain a comprehensive scanned library of donation documentation for audit purposes.
  • Adhere to strict financial controls and procedures.
  • Perform regular data imports and reconciliations.
  • Update and maintain the charity's supporter database.
  • Manage returned mail and ensure appropriate updates and disposal.
  • Work with the Supporter Engagement Officer to respond to donations and send acknowledgments.
  • Update supporter records and generate insightful reports.
  • Engage with new and existing supporters by answering enquiries and building relationships.
  • Manage Gift Aid Declarations and monthly reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative support for directorate meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Assist with diary management and meeting scheduling.
  • Uphold the charity's values and work flexibly across the team.

Person Specification:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • IT proficiency, including database management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic numeracy and Excel skills
  • Strong organisational and filing skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal

What's on Offer:

  • Hybrid Working: Enjoy the flexibility of both remote and office-based work. 2 days per week in the charity's central London office. 

  • Contract Duration: An initial 3 months  

  • Salary: A day rate of £111.32 + £16.70 daily holiday pay (total £128.02 PAYE)
