Global Events Manager

Hybrid (3 days in London office) 
9 day working fortnight


The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering with GIIA to find a Global Events Manager to join their growing team. GIIA represents the world’s leading institutional investors in infrastructure and advisors to the sector. They work with governments and other key stakeholders to promote the role of private capital in delivering smart, sustainable infrastructure.

By connecting investors and advisors with policy makers and regulators, they seek to create opportunities for investment that improve economies, connect people, enable energy transition, protect the environment, and tackle the challenges of resilience to climate change and achieving net zero. Collectively, GIIA members have some $2.2 trillion in infrastructure assets under management across nearly 70 countries on six continents.

The Role
This position involves leading the planning and execution of international events that enhance the organisation’s global presence and engagement, ensuring seamless delivery across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive event strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Coordinate logistics for international conferences, webinars, and member events.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure event content, branding, and technical requirements are met.
  • Oversee budgeting, vendor relations, and contract negotiations to optimise event outcomes.
  • Manage teams and external partners to deliver high-quality experiences on time and within scope.
  • Monitor event effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure all events adhere to compliance, safety, and organisational standards.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience managing international or large-scale events.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Adaptability to diverse cultures and working environments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of event management tools and digital platforms.
