The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Head of Communications role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and lead strategic communication efforts, enhancing the organisation’s reputation and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead and oversee internal and external communication activities, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, briefings, and relationship building with key media contacts.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, providing guidance and support to minimise reputational risks.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape organisational messaging and brand positioning.
- Oversee content creation for digital, print, and broadcast platforms.
- Measure communication effectiveness through analytics and feedback, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a communications team to foster high performance and professional growth.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in strategic communications, preferably within the non-profit or higher education sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication plans under tight deadlines.
- Experience in media relations and managing media crises.
- Analytical skills to assess communication impact and optimise campaigns.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
What’s on Offer
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
