Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Head of Public Fundraising role. This key leadership position involves shaping and driving the organisation’s public fundraising strategy, focusing on legacy giving, regular giving, and new supporter acquisition to maximise income and supporter engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow and optimise public fundraising income streams, including legacies, regular giving, and community initiatives.
- Lead, support, and develop the fundraising team to achieve targets and ensure best practices across all campaigns.
- Conduct analysis of fundraising performance and supporter data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, including face-to-face, telemarketing, and retail partners, to diversify supporter acquisition channels.
- Oversee innovative fundraising initiatives, such as lotteries and new supporter engagement methods, supporting their rollout and integration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain high standards of supporter care.
- Actively contribute to fundraising planning and decision-making processes, focusing resources on high-potential areas like legacy and regular giving.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for strategic growth within the charity sector.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in leading public fundraising or similar roles within the charity sector.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with an ability to identify promising growth areas and manage budgets effectively.
- Experience managing and motivating teams, ideally with expertise in supporter acquisition, legacy income, and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations and high standards of supporter stewardship.
- Flexible approach with the ability to adapt strategies based on data and sector trends.
- A collaborative style that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement.
What’s on Offer
Salary: £60,000 - £67,000
