Role Overview

The Talent Set are delighted to partnering with our brilliant client looking for a fantastic Interim Strategic Product Lead. The successful candidate will shape product direction, translate insight into practical priorities and guide delivery across a professional membership environment. This is an opportunity to influence customer value, improve product performance and support informed commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and refine product strategy, priorities and roadmap.
• Identify opportunities through customer, market and performance insight.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate delivery across relevant stakeholders and maintain progress against agreed plans.
• Monitor product performance, gather feedback and recommend improvements.
• Present clear updates, recommendations and risks to senior decision-makers.
• Support effective planning during the fixed-term assignment and leave clear recommendations for future development.

Person Specification

• Experience leading product strategy, development or transformation in a complex organisation.
• Excellent ability to assess information, prioritise opportunities and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Practical understanding of customer or member needs and service improvement.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation and clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities, ambiguity and time-sensitive deliverables.
• Collaborative, organised and thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
• Experience using performance data and feedback to guide product decisions.
• Experience within professional membership, subscription, services or a comparable environment would be beneficial.
• Ideally worked within the education sector or awarding body environments. .

What’s on Offer

6 month contract
Salary: £73-83k (pro rata)
1-2 days per month in the office.
