The Talent Set is delighted to partner with a health charity client on a fantastic Part Time Stories Officer role for a 12- month fixed term contract working 2 days a week. This position offers a unique opportunity to craft impactful health stories, supporting service delivery and raising awareness through compelling storytelling. The successful candidate will play a vital part in capturing experiences that resonate and inspire action.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct interviews with individuals affected by health conditions, ensuring sensitivity and clarity.
Gather and record detailed information during interviews for use across impact reports, campaigns, and fundraising materials.
Write high-quality, engaging stories that reflect personal experiences and outcomes.
Ensure all interactions comply with GDPR and obtain informed consent, documenting interactions accurately.
Build rapport with service users and team members, fostering trust and collaboration.
Adapt interview techniques to effectively handle diverse communication challenges and health-related topics.
Collaborate with colleagues to optimise story utilization across multiple channels.
Person Specification
Proven experience in journalism, storytelling, or PR, with excellent writing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interviewing sensitive subjects with empathy and professionalism.
Confident in conducting interviews over phone, Zoom, and in person.
Knowledge of GDPR, consent procedures, and data tracking systems.
Ability to think strategically about how stories can be used for impact and campaigns.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to build meaningful relationships with diverse individuals.
Comfortable working mainly remotely with occasional in-person meetings and events.
What’s on Offer Salary: £32,000 pro rata Part time- 14 hrs per week, 12-month maternity cover contract, Remote working with occasional meetings in London
