Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Philanthropy Manager role. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and grow major gift and legacy income through relationship-led fundraising. The successful candidate will build donor pipelines, strengthen stewardship, and help develop a mature philanthropy strategy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of the philanthropy strategy, translating objectives into clear plans and measurable outcomes
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and high-potential prospects, driving cultivation and stewardship
  • Secure multi-year gifts by presenting compelling proposals and maintaining credible, ongoing relationships
  • Develop engagement opportunities such as donor events, experiences, and programme visits to deepen supporter connections
  • Oversee legacy fundraising activity, including campaigns, supporter communications, and legacy pipeline management
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for philanthropy income, ensuring performance is tracked and improved
  • Use insight and CRM data to monitor pipelines and refine supporter journeys over time
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen fundraising readiness and ensure consistent messaging

Person Specification:
  • Experience in major gifts or relationship-led fundraising, with strong ability to cultivate and steward individuals
  • Demonstrable success securing high-value income through tailored engagement and proposals
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and representing an organisation externally
  • Experience planning and delivering events or supporter experiences (virtual and/or in-person)
  • Familiarity with legacy fundraising or the ability to learn quickly and build relationships with pledgers and advisers
  • Skilled at using data (including CRM) to manage pipelines and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills, with a clear and persuasive writing style
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a test-and-learn environment
  • Passion for the mission and a values-led approach to fundraising

What’s on Offer:
  • Salary: c. £41,000 - £46,500
  • Location: Remote with regular London and UK travel
  • Contract: Permanent
