The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a leading health charity on a fantastic Senior Events Manager role. This pivotal position involves overseeing high-profile fundraising events, managing complex budgets, and building collaborative relationships across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of major third-party and virtual events, including iconic marathons and challenge races, ensuring revenue targets and engagement objectives are met.
- Manage event budgets overseeing financial planning, tracking, and reporting to optimise income and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including campaigns, digital, and audience experience, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide effective line management for two direct reports, fostering development, and cultivating a respectful, resilient team environment.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance virtual event participation and retention, leveraging sector-leading virtual formats and social media platforms.
- Ensure operational excellence through meticulous budgeting, risk management, and meeting critical deadlines for upcoming events.
- Drive participant engagement journeys, turning attendees into long-term supporters and advocates for the organisation’s cause.
Person Specification
- Proven experience managing large-scale fundraising or virtual events within a complex organisational setting.
- Skilled in strategic planning, budgeting, and delivering results within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities across diverse teams.
- Strong line management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and build respect within teams.
- Resilient, with clear boundaries, able to navigate a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Digital engagement expertise, especially in virtual and social media platforms, to maximise audience engagement and retention.
