Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Special Events Fundraiser role. This temporary position involves managing and delivering high-profile, large-scale events to support the organisation’s fundraising goals, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional supporter experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of key high-value events, including a royal lunch, a major gala dinner, and a launch event, ensuring each is delivered to high standards, on time, and within budget.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and risk assessments for multiple concurrent events.
Coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, venues, supporters, and stakeholders to streamline event logistics and deliver operational excellence.
Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, and supporter data, ensuring accurate and personalised communication through systems like Dynamics and EMMA-Live.
Oversee all on-the-day event activities, including set-up, execution, and pack-down, acting as a key on-site contact to address issues proactively.
Build relationships with vendors and partners, sourcing prizes, managing venue liaising, and ensuring logistical requirements are met to deadlines.
Provide hands-on support pre, during, and post-events to ensure smooth operations and exceptional experiences for attendees and supporters.
Person Specification:
Experience delivering large-scale, high-value events, ideally in a charitable or fundraising environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple project timelines and priorities simultaneously under pressure.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, particularly around logistics, data management, and stakeholder communication.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suited to working with diverse internal teams and high-profile external contacts.
Ability to work flexibly around event dates, including on-site presence before, during, and after events.
Confidence to resolve issues proactively and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Familiarity with event management systems and supporter databases such as Dynamics and EMMA-Live.
What’s on Offer:
Salary: £39,000 to £42,000 pro-rata.
Location: Hybrid – London
Contract: Initial 3 months
