Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with Arthritis UK on a fantastic Trusts Officer role. The successful candidate will oversee the management of charitable trusts, ensuring compliance, effective governance, and the achievement of organisational objectives within a collaborative team environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their experience in Trusts fundraising, broaden their expertise in five-figure Trusts income, and develop their skills across both Trusts and Lottery fundraising internally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of charitable trusts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring adherence to governance standards.
• Develop and review trust policies and procedures to support effective governance.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare necessary reports and documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with trustees, funders, and other stakeholders.
• Support the organisation’s strategic planning related to trust management and funding opportunities.
• Monitor trust funds, oversee financial transactions, and ensure appropriate utilisation of resources.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure trust objectives align with organisational priorities.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in trust management and governance.

Person Specification

• Experience in managing charitable or trust portfolios, with knowledge of governance standards and legal compliance.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with trustees and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial and regulatory documentation.
• Proactive, with good problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
• Knowledge of the charity sector and funder requirements is advantageous.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a commitment to organisational values.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £33,698 per annum (London), £30,635 per annum (rest of UK)
Locations and working pattern: Hybrid - London, Sheffield, or Glasgow
