The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Barnardo’s to find their next Video Producer.  
Barnardo’s offer a fully remote working environment; however, due to the nature of this role it is important that you are a commutable distance from London.

The current role reports into the Senior Video Producer. You will work with key stakeholders to produce powerful stories and video content in response to the identified needs of the charity, designed to engage new audiences and existing supporters and to encourage opportunities for donations, participation and partnerships.
You will deliver a creative and considered filmmaking and live streaming service, that meets the internal clients’ business objectives, and successfully delivers short film projects from concept through to post-production, within agreed timescales and budgets. The post holder will achieve this through understanding the organisation’s values, interpreting objectives, developing creative strategies and working cross-functionally and with external suppliers as and when required.
Along with the Senior Video Producer, the videographer is responsible for all Barnardo’s moving image, from actually making and producing, filming and editing video content to commissioning and managing other filmmakers to archiving and storing all films on our Resource Space (asset bank).

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings to understand, discuss and develop the creative film brief and to present concepts, gain feedback and develop the film.
  • Campaign and message integration: Work alongside stakeholders to integrate messages on the video content we produce.
  • Ensure Barnardo’s in-house filmmaking work has a clear focus on business efficiency and high performance, and adheres to our brand guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver initial story or concept into a feasible, fully planned project.
  • Project manage filmmaking and live streaming assignments from brief, managing each step from pre-production to post-production to deliver high quality films that meet business objectives.
  • Research and develop filmmaking briefs in terms of subject matter, content, location and travel arrangements. Liaise with projects, service users, model agencies and suppliers as appropriate. Work within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Work through the four phases of production: Development, Pre-production, Production and Post-production. This includes taking the brief, developing the initial concept, logistics (location, models, case studies, consents), scripting, scheduling, interviewing, shooting, editing, incorporating music, effects, titles and exporting the final product.


Person Specification:
 
  • Knowledge of current IT systems and software, such as Final Cut Pro, After effects, Adobe creative suite and MS Office.
  • Strong photo editing skills, including enhancing/retouching hi-resolution images for reproduction.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of supplying digital files in the correct format.
  • Knowledge of printing processes with regards to the reproduction of images.
  • Experience of filmmaking, including film photography and editing.
  • Experience of working with all key aspects of digital film making, including, lighting techniques and digital image provision.
  • Experience of taking, researching and interpreting filmmaking briefs to meet a client's requirements within a creative brand style, budget and timescale.
  • Experience of organising photo-shoots or film/video shoots, including sourcing models, locations and materials.
  • Experience of complying with and actively pursuing image consent/ permissions procedures.
  • Experience of working with digital photographic files and asset management systems.
