Role Overview

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Digital Optimisation Specialist role. This position involves delivering and implementing SEO and AI optimisation strategies to enhance visibility, optimise website content, and support the university’s digital presence during critical recruitment periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver SEO and AI optimisation recommendations based on agency audits and action plans.
  • Translate strategic insights into practical website, content, and technical infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure swift deployment of priority actions to meet recruitment timelines.
  • Improve search rankings and visibility for relevant courses, subjects, and geographical searches.
  • Optimise technical SEO elements, including site structure, crawlability, performance, and metadata.
  • Identify content needs aligned with search intent; support the development of high-quality, search-optimised content.
  • Enhance the university’s representation in AI-generated responses and summaries by optimising content clarity, authority, and structure.
  • Support activities to improve domain authority and external visibility through backlink profile enhancements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent implementation across channels.
  • Manage updates within content management systems and web platforms efficiently.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of optimisation efforts on search rankings, traffic, and AI platform visibility; adjust strategies based on data insights.
  • Contribute to building internal capacity in SEO and AI optimisation best practices.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrated knowledge of UK search behaviour across various channels and AI platforms.
  • Extensive experience in technical SEO optimisation and delivering on-site and content changes.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful digital content strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and identify requirements proactively.
  • Skilled in using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and similar platforms to track and enhance SEO performance.
  • Experience working with content management systems to update and optimise web content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and external partners to deliver shared goals.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities during busy periods, delivering high-impact changes effectively.

What’s on Offer

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000
