Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Senior Philanthropy Executive role. This pivotal position involves leading strategies to secure transformative donations, nurturing high-net-worth supporters, and driving innovative philanthropic initiatives to advance the organisation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and document compelling donor journeys to enhance engagement and support.
- Expand the philanthropy pipeline to ensure sustainable growth and long-term funding.
- Secure major gifts, including six-figure donations and multi-year commitments, through strategic engagement and personalised asks.
- Prepare and present professional pitches, proposals, and engaging communications tailored to high-net-worth individuals.
- Facilitate and lead donor meetings, project visits, and high-profile events, involving senior colleagues as needed.
- Leverage networks, ambassadors, and volunteers to open new funding opportunities and cultivate relationships.
- Support the delivery of sector-leading, high-value events and engagement initiatives, such as giving circles, webinars, and recognition programmes.
- Employ best practices in supporter engagement, including stewardship tools and bespoke proposals, to nurture long-term relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of donor activity and insights within the CRM, supporting data-driven stewardship.
- Keep up to date with sector trends, regulatory requirements including GDPR, and best practice fundraising standards.
- Lead innovation by designing new philanthropic products and approaches.
- Provide mentoring and support to colleagues, sharing expertise on fundraising and supporter engagement.
- Uphold the organisation’s values and mission through professional and ethical practices.
Person Specification
- Proven track record of securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, including multi-year and six-figure donations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrable experience in surpassing financial fundraising targets.
- Capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to cultivate lasting relationships at all levels internally and externally.
- Detail-oriented with proficient IT skills; familiarity with CRM platforms such as Raiser’s Edge or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to innovative philanthropy and supporter engagement.
What’s on Offer
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000
